May was such a fun month for our family. We enjoyed the warm weather and getting outdoors with our new friends and neighbors. Here are some of the highlights.
Our First Building Cookout
Here are some sweet pictures of Luke and his friend Madelyn a few weeks before her family moved. This was the first of many friends I'm sure we'll be saying goodbye to. These two were so cute together...they look like siblings. We miss Madelyn and her family SOOO much!
Meet in the Street in Wake Forest
We went to "Meet in the Street" in downtown Wake Forest during May. For our Owensboro friends, this is the BBQ festival about 1/4 the size, minus the BBQ. It was fun to just mill around and get to know our new community.

Six Sundays in Spring
Another fun Wake Forest tradition...for six Sundays in May and June, the city puts on an outdoor concert on the lawn of the founding place of Wake Forest University. We were able to go on a beautiful evening. We look forward to going again next year!
Southeastern Seminary Cookout
Here are some shots from a cookout the seminary hosted for the students and families here. Luke and I went with our neighbors.
Our Adventurous 2 Year Old
This is the mess Luke made of most of his pull up/pop-up books as an act of rebellion during one of his nap times. I was not very happy about this. He still fights taking naps from time to time.

Mother's Day Weekend
On Mother's Day weekend we went to visit with my parents and planned to go to the zoo.
Unfortunately, the zoo was closed due to a water main break. Although we didn't learn this until making the hour drive to the zoo. This is a shot from the hour drive back to my parents...I had not come prepared for a 2 hour ride in the car with a toddler. John likes this shot...Luke had been pushing Mommy's buttons, and Mommy had already had enough.
Happy Mother's Day!
End of the Semester
Another "caught" moment of Luke during nap time when he wasn't napping
Another building cookout...fun, fun, fun!
