Memorial Weekend Vacation To Oak Island, NC

Well, it's July and I'm behind as usual with posting pictures. Since we're going back to the beach in August, I thought I better hurry and post our May beach pictures. We had a fabulous time on our first family beach vacation. We are very excited to go back. If you've never been on a NC beach vacation we highly recommend it. It was beautiful.



Luke's first time feeling the ocean water. He was pretty intimidated by it. His favorite part of the water was trying to run from it.


You can see by this picture that Luke is very unfamiliar with what you do at the beach. Instead of collecting seashells, he began a stick collection.

Luke was a firm believer that everyone needed to have their shirts off on the beach. We were just walking after dinner in this picture, and he insisted that his shirt come off, as well as Daddy's and Mommy's. Fortunately, only Luke had his shirt off.


Luke quickly learned that seashells aren't for licking, and sand is not for eating.

Couldn't get a smile out of him in this picture...he was very concerned with the crocodile being too close for comfort.


Daddy and Luke on our last day at the beach. Luke was very irritable on this final day. We returned to find out he had an ear infection. He was sick on and off for a month before it cleared up. Still, we had an excellent trip!
