Up for the Challenge

Luke has pretty much mastered pulling up to tables, seats, people, etc. His next challenge is pulling up to flat surfaces. He's attempting the back of the couch here, but he also likes to try the wall and patio door. He shows no fear, but I do (christy). Posted by Picasa

Pretty Boy

This is one of Luke's wrist rattles. John decided to make a bow out of it on Luke's head. Posted by Picasa

7 1/2 Months Old and ALL boy. Luke is developing rapidly right now. We've learned to expect him to do something new physically each day. Posted by Picasa

"I own this place." I put Luke down here in front of his boppy while I went to the kitchen to get his sippy cup. This is how I found him when I came back to the room. He looked so funny and older than what he really is. Posted by Picasa

Who do I look like now? Daddy or Mommy? Posted by Picasa

Look at my big foot! "These feet were made for walkin.' That's what I'm gonna' do."  Posted by Picasa

Look at me Mama! Luke is constantly amazing us and himself. Just over the past 4 days, he has mastered sitting himself up from his belly, pulling up to EVERYTHING, moving from object to object while standing, and just this morning he has started to let go of things while he's standing. I keep telling him to slow down. He still cannot crawl with his belly up. He does the army crawl. At the rate he's going we figure he be walking by the end of the week and running early next week:) I guess this means he's ready for the work force soon!! Get ready McDonald's!!

Luke: Hi Da!
Customer: Uh...I'd like a Big Mac and fries please.
Luke: Blah, blah, blah da-da?
Customer: What??? I said Big Mac and fries!
Luke: Da-da-dad. Blah la da da da.

Check out my cereal beard!!! This is what happens when I feed myself. Posted by Picasa

Caught! We keep Luke's toys on the shelf where you see him in this picture. He had just crawled into that space right before I took this picture.  Posted by Picasa

This looks like it's just my size. Posted by Picasa

Playing is FUN!!! Posted by Picasa

I know this may look bad, but I wasn't trapping Luke. He was pretty intrigued by the laundry basket so I wondered what he would think if I put it over him. He enjoyed playing in his "cage" for quite a while.  Posted by Picasa

Here he is squeezing his nose through the basket. He thought it was pretty fun to press his face up against it. Posted by Picasa

Whew....playing can be rough on a little guy. It's a tough job that wears me out, but somebody's gotta' do it. This is how Luke sometimes falls asleep. He rolls over to watch Mama walk out of the room and falls asleep soon after. Posted by Picasa

Whoa...this feels different. We started Luke on some finger foods this month. He is having veggie puffs in this pictures. He also likes to eat biter biscuits. Posted by Picasa

Chew...chew...chew. Posted by Picasa

This stuff is pretty good Mama. Posted by Picasa

Ok Mama. No more bright light. My eyes can't take it any more. Posted by Picasa

Checkin' myself out. Sometimes Luke likes to kiss the baby in the mirror. Posted by Picasa

Our Little Scooter

Luke is 7 months and scooting very well now, but crawling is just not working for him yet. Posted by Picasa

Remember the first picture of me smiling when I was 2 months old? Posted by Picasa

Same ol' smile, 5 months later. Posted by Picasa

Smokin' my spoon. Luke's cutting a tooth right now so he's biting on everything that goes into his mouth. Posted by Picasa
